Newest USB-to-fiber optic driver

You may download and run the Connection Tester (a simple .EXE file). Plug in the fiber optic adaptor, then connect the fiber optic cable and power on your EMG device. The testing software shows whether the fiber optic driver is installed on your computer, which driver version is installed and whether the computer can read the data from your EMG device.

The newest USB-to-fiber optic driver is available here:
Fiber optic adaptor driver version 6.7 from March 2016

To find out which driver version is currently installed on your system run the PC Software and the connection status should display, with the first line stating the installed driver version.

Upgrading the USB driver ensures that your software is currently up to date. However, if your PC Software works fine, there are no connection problems and the USB connection is reliable there is no need to change anything, especially if you operate older Operating Systems (such as Windows XP or Vista). The newest drivers always target the latest hardware and software platforms and may be less compatible with older systems.

The USB driver upgrade is recommended if you experience any connectivity problems or frequently see a blue screen.

Note: We've been told that our customers experience a blue screen on some platforms. To avoid the problem, install the latest driver and connect the unit to the PC software by plugging in the USB, running the software and turning the unit on only when you see the Protocol Selection screen to receive data. The driver causes memory leakage if you make data available from your unit first, potentially resulting in a blue screen displaying. From what we know, this happens rarely and depends on the operating system you use.
